Stories
Patients, families and volunteers often share their hospice experiences in our Hospice Matters newsletter.
Each story is different, but some contain universal lessons. Some examples include:

Rocco Porreco (PDF 1MB): The author of an insightful memoir about caregiving
Mainly a diary, the book contains intimacies and details of Marie's particular illnesses. Yet, others caregivers may identify with the surprises and predicaments Rocco discovered.

Barney Lincoln (PDF 952KB): His story reveals what unites life's beginning and end
Barney Lincoln was ahead of his time. He started running in the early 1960s to lose weight, a decade before "jogging" or running shoes existed. He ran in Hush Puppies and got stopped by police on suspicion that any man who was running must be on the run.

Ray Langley (PDF 2.6MB): The young father determined to live on his own terms
If he hadn't been so sincere, the charming Irishman Clare Langley fell in love with might have made a terrific spy. Intensely interested in others, Ray Langley left little room in conversation to talk about himself.
