Montgomery Hospice's bereavement support is available to all Montgomery County residents coping with loss, even people whose loved one was not a hospice patient.

Our bereavement care workshops and support groups are offered to the public at various times and locations around Montgomery County.

People we help through grief support and education include:

• Individuals and families who have experienced the loss of a loved one
• Professional caregivers in nursing homes and other facilities where staff are mourning patients who have died
• Businesses helping employees cope with the death of a co-worker
• Schools helping children and teens understand and manage loss
• Faith communities supporting their grieving members

Montgomery Hospice is rare among local organizations for having at least one experienced, professional counselor as a co-facilitator in each bereavement group discussion or workshop. Our bereavement team consists of professional counselors and trained volunteers. Our counselors supervise the volunteers.
